Super Bowl of Game Day Apps...
/Just about every food blog and website in the universe is throwing out their best game day foods this week, so at the risk of contributing to the over-saturation, here are a few of the possible contenders for our nosh fest this year.
We take game day food quite seriously here in the Circle B Kitchen and lean heavily towards finger foods, small bites and things that can be made ahead with little or no fuss. Every game day here will always include deviled eggs. This is non-negotiable, and I'm sure you need no recipe for those. We're purists and do not veer far from tradition with ours.
After that, there will always be a bar mix of some kind because fistfuls of munch are required...
Certainly some sliders will make an appearance...
There will most definitely be these wings...
Can't decide which one of these will make an appearance, but one of them for sure...
Probably one of these (or maybe both!)...
There are usually several kinds of cheeses and meats on a big platter, and this year I'm planning on inviting my homemade Velveeta cheese to the party. It's a healthy alternative to the store-bought version. It's so good just by itself, but it also makes great queso dip or a yummy addition to your spicy bean dip...
And speaking of cheese, our mozzarella pizza dough monkey bread might have to make an appearance...
And there will be dippage. Possibly some guac or hummus or maybe both in one...
So many dips, so little time...
We can hardly have a game day without mozzarella sticks...
This is a perfect time to break out the Instant pot and make one of these to serve in mugs at halftime..
Or maybe one of these...
On the sweet side, I almost always lean towards the cookie bar. They're easy to make, easy to serve and easy to eat. Brownies, blondies, lemon bars, or maybe one of these...
Alrighty then, we've got work to do, people. Not sure it's going to be easy settling on the game day menu, but if you need more confusion and lots more options to choose from, our recipe index is chock full of em. Go Eagles!
